Finally Finished!
So I have finally finished blogging about our adventures in Hawaii. It took me way to long. Now that that is over I will try to stay on top of the blogging and not get behind. Hopefully we will have enough fun and exciting stuff going on in our lives that I can blog on a regular basis. Up next, my sister's wedding!
Saturday Aug 28th
Saturday was our last day. Our plane didn't leave till like 9:00 pm but we still had to be out of our hotel by 11:00 am. We checked out then decided to go back to the temple since the first time I hadn't brought the camera. It is so beautiful and hope to be able to go back and actually do a session and see the inside.

After that we went to the swap meet. Basically it is a big flea market that they do in the parking lot of the stadium. This is were we got most of the souvenirs for our family. It was fun and so big. The only down fall is it is all outside and Saturday was probably the hottest day of our whole trip. After we were done there we went to Punch Bowl. It is the military cemetery for those that serve in pacific wars. It was so amazing and humbling to see just like all the other places like it that we have been to.

The view from the lookout was amazing.

We were so sad to leave Hawaii and hopefully will be able to return again in the future!

Friday Aug 27th

So on Friday we got up and went to the Dole plantation. It was cool to see but not like some of the other places. We went on the train tour, through the gardens where we had to take cover under a tree for a little bit because it started to pour, and I don't mean Idahoans definition of pour I mean Oregonians definition. After that we went through the maze they have. It is huge and took us forever. Then we went inside and ate some lunch and bought some souvenirs.
The train tour

The gardens

This sign was really cool. They had a bunch of different places on it and how far away they were from the dole plantation.

This tree was so funky it didn't even look real.

While in the gardens Richard decided he wanted to be a flower photographer. Here is a sampling of his work.

The Maze

The snails were huge!

The view on the drive home, so beautiful

We left the Dole Plantation and went back to our hotel. We decided to go play on the beach at our resort. We built a sand castle and tried to snorkel some more but it was getting dark so you couldn't see much. Sand castle pictures are also on the water proof camera so they will hopefully come later.
Thursday Aug 26 - Happy Anniversary!
So Thursday was our anniversary. We knew we wanted to go to The Hard Rock Cafe for dinner but that is the only real plans we made. We slept in then decided to go snorkeling some more. I still haven't gotten the camera developed so no pictures of that. It did decide to rain a little while I was sitting on the beach reading my book. It was very wierd to be sitting in a bathing suit and get rained on and not be cold. So anyway after we were done snorkeling we went back to our hotel and got ready for dinner.
Double rainbow that we saw. We actually saw quite of few of these, they are so pretty. You kind of have to look close but you can see the double part in the picture.

The out side of the hard rock

The inside of the hard rock.

So we had to park at the mall in order to not have to pay for parking so when we got done with dinner we decided to walk around. It was fun they had all kinds of stores that I never thought I would go into like the Louis Vuitton store, Tiffanys store, Dooney & Bourke,Harry Winston, Prada you get the picture. We didn't go into all of these stores but we did go into the Louis Vuitton store. They don't even put price tags on anything. Richard's favorite store of course was the lego store. He was like a little kid. So one of the wierd things about the mall was the open concept again. we were inside of the mall and in parts there was no roof or we would be walking down a hallway and then all of a sudden there would be cars driving because it was part of the parking garage as well. They other cool thing was they had this really cool koi pond in the middle of the mall and the fish were huge.

It was a fun day and nice to celebrate our anniversary and it will definatly be hard to top.
