Way to long

Sorry for my long absence. It has been a rough month or so. So since my last post Richard's Grandma passed away. It was a really rough time for the family. His grandma was very loved and always made everyone feel loved and part of the family. It was good to see family that we haven't seen for a while and meet some that I have never met in the four years we have been married. It was sad it had to be under these circumstances but it is OK because we all know that Grandma is happy and finally reunited with her husband after being apart for 17 years. So now that all this is behind us I am going to try to get back on the blogging band wagon. My goal is to get the rest of Hawaii done before Christmas comes but we will see.

Slacker

So I have to apologize for not posting in a while. We have had a hard couple of weeks. Two weeks ago today Richard's grandma had a heart attack. Then three days later on Thursday I miscarried. I have not really felt like blogging but promise to try and get back into the swing of things. More Hawaii to come I promise.

Wednesday Aug 25th

So Wednesday we got up and went to Pearl Harbor. It was so amazing to see this sight and so humbling. We got the same feeling here that we did visiting the places over in Europe. Here are the pictures of the outside and of the USS Arizona Memorial.

This is one of the actual anchors from the USS Arizona.

Tuesday Aug. 24th - Wedding Day

So this day was a very long day. Our flight to the other Island left a 5:00 am which meant we had to leave by like 3:30 to get there by 4:30. This meant that I got up at 2:30 in the morning, and we went to bed around 10 the night before I think. So we got to the airport and had a short wait for our flight. The flight was only an hour and we were able to see the sunrise which was cool. So we got to Kona around 6:00 am. The endowment session didn't start till like 9 or 9:30. You might be wondering why we took such an early flight then? Well because me husband, the non morning person mind you, wanted to fly over with Jake and Danica. Since Danica had to be there at like 7:30 to get ready they left that early. Needless to say we had time to kill and so we just walked around the temple grounds for a while. It was so nice to get to do an endowment session and see the beautiful temple. The sealing was next and it was just as wonderful. Here are some of the pictures.

This was Jake putting the necklace on Rich I just didn't get it in time.

Since Kay and Jolene were unable to come, they had a Kay moment when taking pictures.

Aren't her shoes cute!

After the group pictures where done, me and Richard went and got lunch for us, Jake, Danica, and there photographer. We then stayed and rode with them to the airport since our flight was the same. It was that or go with Jake's mom and step dad and sit at the airport for a couple of hours.

Richard acting like the statue at the airport.

The reception was held in Danica's parent's backyard. It was a little windy but other than that it was nice.

It was so wonderful to share this day with Jake and Danica and we are so glad we were able to go.

So on Monday we woke up and ate some breakfast then went snorkeling. We got a water proof camera but we haven't developed it yet so stay tuned for those pictures. After we were done we ate some lunch and then got ready to go to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was so amazing and so fun to see the things from the different Islands. The night show was amazing was well. Here are some of the pictures form the adventures at the PCC.
