Long Time

So sorry I haven't posted in a while. It was been kind of crazy around here. The main reason I haven't posted is because the camera has been stupid and won't download the pictures onto our computer. Then I have been sick twice and haven't felt like doing much. Richard had also started assisting the JV basketball team so that has taken up some of our time. Than two weeks ago today the head JV basketball coach suddenly died at the age of 26 six from meningitis, leaving his three young children and pregnant wife behind. It has been very hard on us as well as the the whole basketball team. It makes you appreciate everyday with your loved ones even more. I am also very grateful for the knowledge that we as well as his wife has of the plan of salvation. It would be so much harder if we did not know we would be reunited as families again. So anyway that is what has been going on here. Now on to what all of you really care about the belly pics.

Week 21

22

23 (don't mind that I look like crap, I think this is when I was sick)

Some how time got away from us so week 24 and 25 are combined

Hopefully it won't be so long between the this post and the next one. It will be after Christmas though I'm sure. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

And the verdict is.....

So on Thursday we had our 20 week ultrasound. Everything went really well and looks good. And the news you have all been waiting for, baby Jenkins is........... a GIRL!!! We are so excited, even though it took almost the whole appointment to find this out. She is stubborn just like her daddy and kept her legs crossed and knees closed together almost the whole time. She is also very naughty and kept moving and gave the tech trouble every time she would try to measure something. She also never gave us a profile view of her face. She always had her arms up by her head and was facing my back the whole time. We are so excited to find out that everything is looking good with baby girl Jenkins and the only some what bad news is according to the ultrasound I am not due till March 17Th instead of March 12Th. We will see next week if my Dr. officially changes my due date or not. So because of our stubborn daughter we do not have a facial picture or the gender picture, but we do have some of her arms and legs. (sorry I still can't figure out how to scan the pics very well)

And then for those who are interested here are weeks 18 through 20.

Birthday and 15 weeks

So this last week we celebrated both Richard and Alicia's birthday as well as mine. I forgot the camera on my birthday so I only have pictures of Richard and Alicia. We had good birthdays and had fun. I got money for my birthday and was able to buy some much needed maternity clothes.

And here I am at 15 weeks.

Progress

Due to Internet difficulties I have not been able to blog regularly. Those issues are now solved so I should be able to blog weekly from now on. I had another appointment a few weeks ago and we heard the heart beat again which was nice. Here are the pictures of the bump from weeks 11-14.

With in the last couple of weeks I have really started to show. It is very exciting to finally start to look pregnant. I am actually staring to out grow my clothes and need to buy maternity stuff. So at my last appointment I found out that I had lost 6 pounds from the start of my pregnancy. They weren't to concerned but didn't want me to lose any more so I started being better about getting more calories. As of last Monday I had gained 1 1/2 pounds. However I was really sick on Thursday and Friday and didn't eat much so I am sure I am back to square one again. That is all for now. I have another appointment in 2 weeks so here's to hoping all goes well.

4th of July

After we got back from Arizona we were able to spend some time with Richard's family for the 4Th. His sister and her family were in town and it was fun to see his new little niece for the first time. We took family pictures and then went to the Blackfoot pool. It was fun.

After the pool we came home and ate then did fireworks. It was fun being together as a family.

Summer Fun in Arizona

At the end on June we were able to go to Arizona for visit my sister and her family for a week. We stopped in Saint George on the way there and saw the Temple.

I didn't do very good at taking pictures while we were there, I guess we were just having to much fun. We went to a water park which was awesome and than mainly hung out. Here is a pick of my cute little niece and then another of the family playing talking clue.

We also got to go out to diner with a friend of mine from collage and her husband. It was so much fun so seem Jaimie again, it had been way to long.

On our way home from Goodyear we stayed the night at my little sister's place in Las Vegas. We stopped off at the Hoover Dam before heading to her place. It was so cool to see and so amazing how big it was.

In Nevada and Arizona at the same time.

That night we went to the Hard Rock for dinner and then went to the strip. Unfortunately our batteries died so I don't have any pictures of that. We woke up the next morning and finished our long drive home. It was so much fun getting to see family and places we hadn't been to before. Hopefully we will get to go back soon.

The time has come

As most of you know we have been trying for some time now to get pregnant. After my miscarriage last October we actually got started on the fertility process. Things were going very slow and in March we decided that we would look into and start the adoption process. We even had almost half of our down payment but ended up needing if for something else. Well in June the Dr. put me on medication to start a cycle so that they could put me on Chlomid (fertility drug to help ovulation). I am pleased to announce that after one round we had success. I took a home pregnancy test on July 6Th and it was a faint positive so I took another and it was also positive. On July 13Th I had my first Dr's appointment. Even though I was only 5 1/2 weeks they did an ultrasound and actually saw a pregnancy which is more than last time (they only saw the sac). Then on I think Aug. 5Th we heard the heartbeat for the first time. I am currently 12 weeks and due March 12Th. So far everything is going well and there have been no problems that we know of. We are very exciting and can't wait for the opportunity to bring this child into our family. Below is the ultrasound pic, sorry you can't see it very well.

The proof ( I don't know why you can't see the lines very well, maybe if you actually click on the pictures).

And here is the weekly progression of my growing belly. We decided that we wanted to take a picture every week to track the change so hopefully I will be posting weekly.
