Unexpected happenings

Well what an exciting week we have had. First we will talk about the baby. She is starting to laugh and it is so cute. Also a couple of days ago she sat up by her self but only for a couple seconds. We also painted her toenails for the first time on Sunday. Ok so now on to other news. Last Tuesday I woke up with some severe abdominal pain. I had previously had pain similar to it twice before so I figured I should get it looked at, also this time was worse. So at like one in the morning we called Richard's mom to come and watch Abigail so we didn't have to wake her up. On the way to the hospital the pain was so bad I had to have Richard pull over so I could throw up. We got to the ER and since Richard knows a lot of the staff they took really good care of us. So they put an I.V., took some blood and gave me some pain meds. They we thinking it was probably my gal bladder since that is common in women who have given birth, and real common in my family. So after a couple of hours they sent us home with an appointment for an ultrasound the next morning. So I had the ultrasound where they determined I did have stones and needed to talk to the surgeon. The surgeon had an opening right then so I headed over there. They confirmed that my gal bladder would need to come out and had an opening for the next day (Thursday) so I set it up. Well the surgery was supposed to take 45 minutes tops an be an out patient surgery. However I had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic they gave me. They said it was good they had the tube in already because my airway started to close off. They gave me some Benadryl and epinephrine and all was well. Because of the reaction they wanted to monitor me over night in the ICU. I am recovering well and felling great. So thankful for a husband who can easily get time off and in-laws who are willing to help out with the baby. Now onto what you all care about, the pictures. The first one is 11 weeks the others are 12. She will be officially 3 months tomorrow!

I'm glad you're feeling better, why is it that women have to go through so much for child birth? Good grief. You're little girl is darling by the way!

She is so cute! Jake says she's making "a Jenkins face" on the squishy face picture. :) We're so excited to meet her!
