The Ferry

So I don't know if people are even looking at my blog or reading about our experiences in Europe but I figured I would continue any way. So after we were done in Salisbury we got back and the bus and headed to Portsmouth to catch the ferry to go to France. Once we got there we unloaded our luggage and then went inside and waited for Sarah (tour manager) to get our tickets as well as wait for the ferry. So while we were waiting there was this group of little kids waiting to board a different ferry. It was fun to listen to them talk with their British accents. It kind of reminded me of Harry Potter. Well one kid behind us was talking to his friend and he asked, "Did you F-A-R-T? Did you F-A-R-T?" He actually spelled it our and it was hilarious, but maybe you had to be there and here it for your self in the British accent for it to be funny, but we were all laughing. So once our ferry was there we had to go through some security to get on. Once through that we had to walk up quite a few stairs to get to the actually ferry. Once on the boat we had to wait for quite awhile because they didn't have a room for us, so they had to figure out where to put all of us. They finally found a room that would fit all of us. So here is the ferry that we road on.





It was pretty big, it had at least three or four floors. Here is us on the ferry, kicking back and relaxing.



We ended up leaving from the same port that they left from in W.W.II. so there was a ton of military ships. Richard, as well as a lot of all of the guys were way excited and all on the deck taking pictures. Here is just a few of the pics that Richard took of all the ships.

So we ate dinner in the ferry. We had our choice of appetizers, main course, and desserts. It was pretty good. I got a salad that was nasty but the main course and dessert were good. I can't remember what I got. So we went back to our room after dinner and just slept and hung out. It took about eight hours so we got to France pretty late. We got off the ferry and then went and waited for our bus. We then just drove straight to our hotel in Caen for the night. Up next Europe day 5 - March 22.
