Eiffel Tower

So after the Louvre we headed on over to the Eiffel Tower. We had already seen it, but we hadn't been to it and go up to the top yet. So we had had beautiful weather almost our whole trip. We had a little rain in London and so far had not had any in Paris. Well once we got to the Eiffel Tower it decided it wanted to rain. Because of this it was raining at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower and it was snowing at the top. It was kind of cool. OK so funny story, Richard's knee had been bothering him a little the day before and today it was really bothering him. Well when we got to the Eiffel Tower he decided that it was bothering him to much to take the stairs to the top. Well to take the elevator costs more, which wasn't a problem I didn't really care. Well it turns out that the line for the elevator was way long and would have taken longer then the allotted time that we had, so everyone else just took the stairs except Kay (he is afraid of heights). Well I didn't really want to go to the top with out Richard so our tour manager Sarah decided she would try and see if she could find a way for us to get to the top. She thought that maybe the restaurant would let us take their elevator so we went there to ask first. Well they said we would have to talk to some other people so they sent us somewhere else. Well Sarah ended up telling the people that Richard was a pro basketball player and that he had a injury and couldn't take the stairs and that Kay was his coach or trainer or something. Well they sent us to someone else that had the decision making power. So Sarah told the story (or lie) again. After much waiting we hoped that this would work because now there would not be time to even take the stairs. So they actually bought the story and let us cut to the front of the line for the elevator. It was really funny but we were glade that they actually let us do it. So it was cool to say that it was raining at the bottom and snowing at the top but it kind of sucked at the same time because it was cloudy so the view wasn't as good. Here are the pictures from the top.

So we stayed up top for a little bit then hit the gift shop then headed back to the bus. Stay tuned for Chateau de Versailles.
