This building was originally a hospital for soldiers.
So here are some pictures of the Peace Arch and the Eiffel Tower that I took from the bus, this was my first time seeing all of the Eiffel Tower.
So we drove around the block and then got off the bus at this square that had a very good view of the Eiffel Tower and is a great place to take some fun pcitures. Well we we got off we were immeidiatly bombarded by pedlers trying to sell us stuff. This is not unusual though. So we get to the main part of the sqaure and notice that they have a huge chunk in the middle blocked off. I was not to concerd with it because I was to memsmorized by this sight.
Well I guess the curiosity go to Richard because he was the fist to notice what was going on, which he pointed out to us and got all the girls excited. The reason for the closed area, big crowds, and security was this guy.
Can't tell who it is? Well I will tell you, it is Jude Law, yes the actor. I know the picture isn't all the great and unforunatly it was the only one I was able to get. You see they had security every where and you weren't supposed to take pictures but I was able to get this one befor getting caught and told to stop. However here are some better ones that Brandon was able to get.
Not only is this spot a very good spot to get the whole Eiffel Tower in a picture, but it is a very good place to get the fun shots like this one of me holding the Eiffel Tower in my hand.
Me and Richard with Eiffel Tower in back.
After we got our pictures here we loaded back on the bus to finish the tour. Here is a monument to Nepoleon and the bottom one is the Ritz Hotel.
So here is a funny story of something that happnened on our tour. In France the police don't have to have a reason to pull over tour buses. They can just pull them over to make sure that the driver is obeying all the rules like not driving for a certain amount of time with out breaks and not driving past a certain time of night or something like that. Well the buses have like disc type things that record all this stuff and then the driver has to print out the history every day and keep a record of like the last 30 days or something like that. Well anyway, our bus got pulled over. It was fun to see the officers and even though our bus driver Eric had followed all the rules he was still a little nervous. So here are the officers that pulled us over.
So after about 10 minutes or so we were on our way again. So just to give you an idea of how cool our bus driver was, he took the bus through this little tunnel that was ment for cars. It was so funny and it freaked out our guide. So these last pictures that I took from the bus tour are an Arch dedicated to Napoleon's victory and the triangle in front of the Louvre.
So our bus tour ended a short distance from Notre Dame. The reason for this is because there is a spot the buses can not go past. So we got off the bus and then walked the short distance to Notre Dame. It was sad however because this was the last time Eric our amazing bus driver would be driving us. So we all got off and said good bye to Eric before heading to Notre Dame.
Stay tuned for pictures form Notre Dame.
